So, it is Valentine's day tomorrow and love is in the air ;).
ahem, some of you may still be wondering which presents and gifts to buy your beloved and few of you are definitely worrying about the scenario if they don't like your present! sounds familiar even if you don't much care for the V'day stuff. i am sure we all have friends/people around who have really been bitten by the V'day bug.
Please don't get me wrong, i don't want to sound biased-but mostly its the girls who raise a big hoo-ha if their boy friends/fiance's/hubbies don't invest enough time and money into this day. Atleast, thats been my observation-please let me know if anyone has observed otherwise :).
Anyway, so today we had this lunch-time discussion on Valentine's day celebration in different parts of the world. and no surprise, it seems to be an omnipresent vocation of love-birds ;). Those who think of this as a Western menace, please-even the Americans debate if this is really worth being classified as a festival, or so i heard at the table during lunch. But most interesting was a rejoinder from my Japanese collague, who verified with me if V'day is in the same standing in India, as it is in Japan, namely a "Commercial Habit" :)).
P. S. : His wording may not be the best English (in his own words), but to me, it sums up the situation rather well :).

Yeah true. And if I don't show an interest in this lousy festival (you don't even get the day off, so what's the point anyway), it means I am not showing an interest in her.

i have seen a few of my friends going crazy about this festival and in the process the drive their better-halves also completely crazy.....
